I purchased this jacket because I wanted an M-65 style military jacket without being too military as I didn't want to look like a wanna-be. This jacket fits the bill. The jacket is very well built. The sherpa liner is warm and seems like it would keep me warm in the California desert at night (which is why I purchased it). This jacket even seems like it would be fine in the snow if layered underneath with a sweater (this jacket is not waterproof, however). I agree with other Amazon reviewers that the jacket fits a little smaller than expected. I am 6' tall and 225 pounds, average build (not muscular, not fat). I purchased the XXL as advised by the other reviewers who are similar to my size. The jacket fits a tad snug at XXL (I usually wear XL in almost everything) but seems like it will be fine as long as I don't get bigger. There is no hoodie in the collar zipper, just an empty void that can fit a a few handkerchiefs (or a cell-phone charging cable if you want to be snazzy). The zipper is on the opposite side so it will take some time to get used to it. The olive drab green color is almost exactly the vintage Vietnam era M-65 military jackets. I know this because I own a few of the Vietnam era ones. I also agree with another reviewer that the jacket will "vintage" out well over the years. The patch over the left breast is velcro and removable. You can also undo the velcro stitching underneath if you want to remove the entire patch and velcro for a smoother looking jacket. Also, there is an interior pocket that fits my iphone 8 with a little room to spare.Okay, so the only downside to this jacket is the arm length. All I can say is HOLY COW the arms are long! I had to take this jacket to a tailor to have the arms shortened. Like I said, I am average build, my dress shirt arm length is 34-35 (American) and the jacket's arms exceeded my extended FINGERTIPS by 3-4 inches. So...unless you are an orangutan, you'll either have to shorten the arms as I did, or deal with bunched up jacket material on your forearms (I think this looks like crap which is why I had it tailored). The unusual arm length and no hoodie are the only reason I give this jacket 4 stars as opposed to 5. I will really enjoy wearing this jacket and intend to have it for a long long time.
