Sund is a lightweight, warm and sporty winter walking boot. The high shaft is made of felted wool and Ripstop textile, durable and water repellent. The soft fleece lining and recycled polyester insulation mean a warm foot climate, also on chilly days. With a long medial zipper it’s easy getting in and out, a gusset at the same time prevents slush getting into the boot. A wide comfortable last and a midsole with great walking properties. Carbide studded BUGrip outsole gives confidence on ice and snow but walks completely civilized on pavement and other surfaces. The perfect winter boot for women looking for function and style.
These boots are fantastic on ice. Easy to get on and off with the zipper. I bought a half size larger to accommodate wool socks, I’m glad I did. They are not waterproof if you have slushy conditions, but we are solid frozen for 3 months in upstate New York.Fell and broke my ankle slipping on ice a week before I received these boots. Opening box with some sadness at the timing, but are great quality, good looking and I think they’re gonna work for me once I am back to walking. Cost of boot is non issue, As believe me $200 a lot cheaper than the medical bills that I am paying for after ankle surgeryI purchased these so that I could walk my dog on icy sidewalks without killing myself. I didn’t really have much faith that they’d make that much of a difference, but they were free to return, so I figured what the heck. I am so impressed and glad that I bought these! I can’t believe how well they work and I am able to walk on the ice covered sidewalks without any fear of falling. Would definitely recommend!! Will be buying for my parents.I first ordered these in a size 7, however, I sent them back and got them in a 7 1/2. The size 7 felt great once I pushed my foot in, but getting it in was hard. The 7 1/2 is perfect. Love these boots! We had a lot of ice lately in my area in the Northeast so I wanted boots with traction. These boots were fantastic. I almost wish Spring could wait another week or two, as by now all the ice has melted. I am up there in age and a fall would be a disaster. The boots are really easy to get on as well. I went out with some children who are quite active and I was very steady following them around in snow and ice. One still has to be careful of course. Best to leave the boots by the door though as walking on wood floors may not benefit the floors. On some surfaces they seem fine, and I could walk into most stores. Never tried driving with them. I ordered a size larger than I usually wear and this worked out.I live in Minnesota and walked everyday this past winter regardless of the weather. I was very concerned about ice and wasn't confident that the metal spring-style ice grips that slip on over my boots would keep me from falling. What a difference with the Icebugs. They grip great and no slipping. They are well worth the money and very comfortable. They were also great on packed snow when I walked across a lake.I live in NH with lots of snow, ice. These boots are soooo wonderful to just pop on when I go outside for quick or long walks. So easy to just jump into and zip up. My hunch is that I’ve saved myself from the price in time and money of slips/broken bones over and over. Well worth the price! These boots were a defensive play against icy parking lots here in AK. They fit great and I am no longer in fear of slipping and falling, plus they are warm and look great!
